We are proud to be presenting an outstanding array of musical talent from various genres.  You're sure to enjoy the musicians, to find styles familiar to you, and, we hope, to discover and appreciate some new musical experiences.


Washington Jazz Orchestra

Founded in 2007, The Washington Jazz Orchestra celebrates the great Jazz Tradition. Led by Judge John DiSalle, they bring back the glorious sounds of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington.

 Carolyn Perteete

Local jazz vocalist Carolyn Perteete recently released her lastest solo, Something Cool. She is known as the lead vocalist for the R&B group Gemini.

Salsamba


Latin rhythm and jazz harmony are the trademarks of this Pittsburgh-based group.

 Opek

 For the past 30 years, local jazz musician and music educator Ben Opie has composed and performed original music in Pittsburgh.

 

 Ben Opie, jazz saxophonist,leads Opek in the rhythms of  jazz composers like  Sun Ra, Thelonious Monk and other greats.

 Washington Symphony Orchestra


 

Music Director Yugo Ikach will once again conduct the Washington Symphony Orchestra for their fourth W.J.P. Festival appearance. Maestro Yugo and this local favorite will open our Sunday schedule with your favorite renditions of Pops tunes and Broadway favorites.

 Marc Lucas


Pittsburgh artist Marc Lucas returns for a second festival. The guitarist and composer will entertain with a wide range of musical selections  in diverse genres.

Carnegie Brass

The Carnegie Brass is a select group of musicians from the popular River City Brass Orchestra. The quintet will perform a rousing collection of Americana and Pop favorites.

Festival hours are Saturday noon-7PM, and Sunday, noon-5PM.  For your comfort, we suggest you bring a blanket and/or a chair along with you.
